Riboflavin 5'-Monophosphate Sodium Salt

Riboflavin sodium phosphate (Riboflavinsodiumphosphate), molecular formula for C17H24N4NaO11P, molecular weight of 514.36, yellow to orange crystalls or crystal powder. It has a bitter taste. It is hygroscopic, easily soluble in water, and the pH value of different concentrations of aqueous solutions is different. Insoluble in ethanol, ether and chloroform. It is stable when dry, but in solution light causes it to deteriorate rapidly.
Mainly used as food fortifier, edible yellow pigment, but also used in medicine, as a water-soluble preparation of vitamin B2
